I have the Acer Aspire One with the 11.6" screen (1366x768) and a 250gb hard drive. It came with Vista but I put Windows 7 on it and it runs much better. Vista worked alright for about a week and then really bogged down. Windows 7 runs much better on it.

I also bought a 6 cell battery and get about 6 to 7 hours of battery use. The larger screen resolution is great. I use it for dumping photos to it in the field, but I just use Windows to view the files. I don't do serious editing on it, though I've read of others using them with Lightroom and such, but I can't imagine it would be an enjoyable experience. If you stick to web and other light weight uses, they're fine. I'm glad I have mine.
