Print the description and take it with you. NEGOTIATE! You have no proof that the thing works. If it needs work, it won't be cheap. The shutters haven't been made in ages-no parts. New bellows are $100 installed. They can look perfect and leak like a sieve.

If i had found it I would be using it now. I'm a sucker for old cameras.

You aren't paying attention. Negotiate! It can't hurt to try. If it's a Bessa II keep it. Use it. When you see 6x9 negatives you'll throw rocks at 35mm negatives. Youxin Ye will fix the Leica for less than a Bessa overhaul.

You don't know if it's real. You don't know if it works. Those two things should act in your favor to reduce the price.

I think that's what I meant when I said not over $50 if you don't know that it's working. And do your homework. We provided lots of links.

If you score a Leica and a Bessa for a little over $100 in a week, you will be declared The Man!

The business end of a Bessa, don't know if it's a I or a II.

another Bessa and it lives in Texas......

and a $5 Bessa

Good for you. Call Jurgen, the certo6 links above, and talk about getting it stabilized and working properly. If it's properly cleaned, the lens is capable of stunning performance.

You'll be all set: Two classics. One small and one big.
