what are your thoughts on the sigma 15 vs the nikon 16? have you played with them both?

also, you stated that the Tokina 11-16 (at 15mm for example) won't give me the same field of view as the sigma 15mm (or where you just referring to the fish eye effect itself)... why not ? (I'm not disagreeing with you, just curious how 15mm vs 15mm would be different). thanks!

I've only used the Sigma 8mm fisheye and Canon 15mm fisheye.

As far as 15mm fisheye vs 15mm wide, just look at Keith's example from 16mm fisheye vs 16mm wide that he posted two post above this one. As you can see there, the 16mm fisheye gets a lot more in the frame. But it's also a lot more distorted. Fisheye lenses are just a different beast all together then regular lenses. So you can't just go by what "mm" they are.

good point, i didnt even realize how much more was captured by the fisheye... weird thanks again!
