It's amazing how I can't remember my neighbors first name but I can remember a posting in August about a Cotton Carrier.

I just ordered one... I was that impressed. Oh wait, I mean, "my wife just got me one for Christmas. Yeah, yeah, that's what I meant." Of course, she doesn't know it yet... but she did.

I don't think I would like it. But I haven't tried it either. I could totally see myself with a dual Black Rapid Strap though...

I love mine. Used it when I went to Yellowstone in Sept. It's extremely comfortable. It's nice to be able to hike hands-free. I highly recommend.

I was one of the first to get mine, and I love it. Great for weddings, and I use just the chest carrier in the studio. I'm one of those photographers that sits the camera down to adjust stuff and then spend 10 minutes looking for it. Doesnt happpen with the carrier :)
They're very well made also.

Good to hear that I'm not the only one who does that! I swear... I just had it in my hand. Where the hell did I set my camera!

I'm also glad to hear you're enjoying yours. I'm sure I will as well.

I told my wife last night at dinner, "Thank you for the gift." She thought for about two seconds and asked, "You're very welcome. What did I get you?". I said, "You got me a camera strap system"... and proceded to show her the YouTube video of it on my iPhone. She said, "Great. I always know exactly what to get you for Christmas! But you can't use it until I wrap it up, put it under the tree, and open it on Christmas day!" To that I gladly agreed.

Looks like a cool system. I've been looking at the Sunbounce Sun-Sniper strap, which is a simpler setup but probably won't work as well as stabilizing a camera.

Todd,

Yeah, that one looks cool too but I think it's more like the Black Rapid Strap isn't it?

I think you're right, Wil. The Black Rapid system looks more substantial. I'd love to try the Cotton Carrier, Black Rapid and Sun-Sniper systems all at one time. Sounds like a future meetup to me!

Actually, it is the Black Rapid, reverse engineered and manufactured in China. Sunbounce were retailers of the Black Rapid, but decided to ship a few to China and have them reverse engineered and copied.

We go through this ritual every year! I love it... and my wife doesn't have to worry about one present for me... she does it too - - "I'd really love this XXXXX I saw... Here, I circled it in the catalog and marked the color & size..." But it has to be wrapped, only to be opened with the regular presents...

I welcome comments on any picture I post... Thanks.

My wife and I have a similar deal, only she gets to spend as much as I spend. So when I budget, I can only get half of what I can afford. The only time I benefited based on her, was when she got SaladMaster pots and pans. I got a laptop out of that.

I also like the idea of using post-it removable type tape on gifts. If your spouse uses that by mistake, you take out the socks or whatever, and replace it with that new lens or carrier system, and refasten the tape. Then open, and be thankful.

I mention this is a Christmas wrapping video I did. http://www.bankersonline.com/amz/az_wrap.wmv
