Used to have the 35L but couldn't stand the excessive CA and eventually has to let it go. Both are tack sharp wide open but the 24L II is just a hair better in color department, then again, it's few hundreds $ more if not wider. I wish there's Nikon equivalent of 14-24mm on canon side, i would consider giving up the 1.4 fast wide angle goodness. | | | |

What's a few hundred bucks between friends. Here are the B&H prices as of this morning:
24 f/1.4 II: $1,699
35 f/1.4: $1,369
For the super wide-eyed:
14 f/2.8 II: $2,100
