It seems when Canon adds a couple of "I"s to a name, each "I" comes to at least 2.5-400 bucks

Looking at the charts, it isn't that much better on paper. Very curious to see if there's really any visual difference. I think the only real selling point they'll have is MFD and possibly focus speed improvement.
It could be a choice for people looking to pick up a 70-200mm L to begin with, but I don't see many people going from the original to the II.
theres one more element...
should i expect the price on the original model to drop in price conciderably or just slightly?
