Slide copy attachments - 01-14-2010, 10:17 AM

Anyone have experience with copying slides using their DSLR (or even a P6000)?

I think I'm looking for something that attaches to a lens and I can insert a slide in to. Will be travelling back to the home country soon and want to take the opportunity to digitize my parents collection of slides.

Thanks!

-or- (and this looks better!) anyone used the VuPoint stand-alone no-camera-required products?

They were a staple of the 60s-70s-80s-90s. Advertized in every issue of Pop & Mod Photo. Try B&H or Adorama. Yes, it's been done. Yes, it works. I'm not sure which lens works best.

Grinning. Thanks.

I bet if you ask, somebody might have one of those things collecting dust at home. Don't be upset if the box doesn't say Digital on it. It's still the same device.
