In the M9 Leica finally delivered what most said they really wanted in a Leica - a full frame digital M camera. So, I have been a bit amazed at how many early comments there have been regarding what an M10 or M11 should look like! That said, I would have to agree with Reichmann that something will have to be done in the area of auto focus if Leica is ever going to appeal to a generation of photographers that grew up using auto focus cameras. Another suggestion that I have seen is that Leica adopt some sort of focus confirm beep. Whatever the modification is it will have to be one that does not require any redesign of M series lenses. |
