5D mark2 with extra oem battery and battery grip on sale soon.... man, i miss FF already.
You won't miss it when you see how the MKIV performs. The AF leaves it behind and I think the high ISO is just as good. Its the camera Canon should have built three years ago when they released the MkIII.

I'll be watching for this to see how you price it.

No doubt except widest end, i would have hard time letting go of FF paring with 24 II L. Too bad i need a better tool to get back to birding. Judging by the price increment, the upcoming 1Ds is likely at least $9k, that's beyond my price range.

It would be very reasonable. :)

I didn't pick the express service, next day is nearly a Benji bill and ground shipping is $40!!. BH starts to sound like those typical NY store charging extra for hot items.

Did you see the price at Amazon? Talk about Gouging!

Checking B&H often paid off. They are out of stock again.

I assume you are talking about Amazon 3rd parties' sellers, yes, those are outrageous. But products from Amazon, not their vendors, are straight as arrow and if you have prime account, overnight is $3.99, 2nd day is always free. They also have better return policy when it comes to cameras as oppose to others.

Yes, the only way to get m4 now if you didn't preorder them early when it was first announced is checking BH . This site works great for me. Canon 1D Mark IV, 1Ds Mark III, 1D Mark III In Stock and Preorder Tracker - NowInStock.net

That's due to BH doesn't take preorder anymore, and they don't even allow email subscribe to inform you when the product is back in store. They would just put new shipment online as soon as inventory come in. Yesterday shipment managed to stay online for 2 1/2 hours, so it must be a large batch. :)

They actually had 120 that sold in 2 1/2 hours. That is a $600,000 sale.

Not sure what's the profit margin for cameras are, they keep saying it's not much but they are the largest dealer in US, probably the World? So i guess they are still making more than typical camera stores.

Well, there's at least 60% markup in shipping cost.

$99 one-year NAPP membership = Free 3-day shipping from B&H. :-) If you tend order a lot of stuff, this pays for itself in no time even if that's the only reason you join. Lots of other benefits as well.

Classic case study of supply & demand.

At list price B&H sells 120 units in 2 1/2 hours.

Meanwhile, you can buy one through (not from) Amazon for $6,612.95.

Amazon.com: Canon EOS 1D Mark IV 16.1 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with 3-Inch LCD and 1080p HD Video (Body Only): Camera & Photo
