1D Mark IV online retailers, who has it in stock?

Anyone knows any online retailers got 'em in stock? i've monitoring the stores for weeks, got into the preorder, backorder lists and the likes... but nada...

iCe got lucky by checking B&H every morning. They were gone soon after he ordered his.

You might start searching the internet for Canon dealers who have web pages but no online ordering. Calling and asking. There might be a few sitting on shelves. I remember seeing a new & scarce camera on a shelf in a small camera store in Florida a few years ago.

When the 5D MKII were new and backordered I was driving down I-10 and saw a billboard for Infocus Camera in Orange, TX. The sign said the largest camera store in Texas. So naturally I had to see this! It was beautiful and big. They had everything all nice behind glass counters. It was like a jewelry store but with cameras and lenses. They don't do online but they will ship. I couldn't believe Orange, TX had this kind of store!

That is the kind of place where you may find the camera. Just start calling around. What about Precision in Austin?

Just called my contact, and he placed a call to Canon to check the next shipment. They said at least couple more weeks and possibly more... Olympic sucks, why can't they just use Nikon.. :)

Oh. The Olympics are getting all the new cameras? Call Glazers in Seattle. Maybe there is some spill over from Vancouver. Call Vancouver camera stores. However, they may charge Gouge & Screw Tax. It's not nice.

I got mine from a preorder at a small online store but there are some stores out there that may have them. Most of the early production models are going to photogs for the Superbowl and the Olympics. I know of several people looking and all of them have been informed not to expect anything until after the Olympics.
