Madness. 3 cameras in less than a year. All doing essentially the same thing. None doing what the people really want. Crazy.

I know a lot of people who really like this camera line. It has outsold most other cameras out there - and essentially started a new classification of cameras. True, it doesn't do what *I* want, but it is a mistake to think that I am the whole market. Heck, it is a mistake to think that the professional photographer market is the whole market.

I sorta agree with what you say. However, the "people" these camera's are geared towards don't seem to be having a problem buying them.... atleast that seems to be the case or else we wouldn't be looking at 3 camera's in less than a year.

I am glad to finally have a camera that can go with me everywhere (EP2+20mm f1.7).
But at the same time, I do wish the sensor was a bit more capable when compared to a D3 or D700. I would gladly pay an additional $1000 for the EP2 if it's sensor was as good as the Nikon's in low light. Maybe if it had faster flash sync... maybe a higher max shutter of 1/8000... or for that matter, an electronic shutter for silent shooting.... a better LCD screen.... the list goes on. But for now, I can use the EP2 for my style of shooting and travel requirements and be content with it.

A real viewfinder would be nice. Inexpensive. Traditional. Fast. Accurate.

One digital camera, even it is a Battleship, will be fine for me. I own several cameras with the features listed above.

Y'all have fun. I do see the appeal.

Haha! Well, I've certainly enjoyed mine since last July. Dennis seemed to enjoy his a lot. The camera must be doing something people want.

These MFT cameras are really creeping down into the P&S category now, and in a year or so, I suspect you'll see the "top end" point and shoots all carrying a larger sensor like this (or even APS-C, like the Samsung), and the entry models $200 and below using the tiny sensors.

I just got back from a cruise last week where I used my EP-1 about 75% of the time with great result. The best part was being able to put my camera (with the 17mm prime) in my pocket. The so called slow focus problem was a non issue as was the lack of viewfinder. It made me dream of the day Nikon comes out with a rangefinder style body.
