This camera is great! Love it!
I wanted a compact camera that would record higher ISO images without all of the noise that my G10 produces, and this baby aces the job, in spades!!!!

ISO 1600, f3.5, 1/80, Kit Lens@14mm, (Excellent Available fluorescent light)

MicroFourThirdsCamera, Olympus E-PL1, 14/42 kit lens

Did the camera nail the white balance? Or did you need to help it a little? That is an amazing photo for a tiny camera & sensor.

Heck, it's an amazing photo. Very cool.

The camera nailed it on this shot, as well as most all shots. I was pleasantly surprised.
On shots of bright yellow cars I had to cool the WB down a fair amount, but otherwise the camera did a teriffic job with that florescent lighting.

That isn't exactly a tiny sensor. It is only a little smaller than a APS-C sensor. It is a MOS 2.0 crop sensor.

Nice shot! I love my E-P1. Like you, I wanted a P&S style, but with the larger sensor. I was very (pleasantly) surprised at how well it handles high ISO noise. It's there, but cleans up very well.

The real fun will start when you get an adapter and start using some of your manual lenses on it. That's a blast. I bought some old Pentax lenses just so I could use them on my E-P1.
