I am looking into getting a 35mm 1.8 lens. It seems like a good lens for the money. (Around 200 bucks). Has anyone used this or heard anything about them??

I have the older 35mm f/2D and like it well enough. I would be interested to hear how owners of the newer f/1.8 like it. -G

Everyone I've heard from has been very happy with it. Sorry, no firsthand experience though.

BTW, I don't know if you need to register to see it, but here's a thread from Nikon Cafe about it: NikonCafe.com

I sold my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 after I got this Nikon 35mm f/1.8. It's light and I like it.
The boken is not as creamy as Sigma 30mm f/1.4 (of couse I compare both at f/1.8).
It's a little slow on the low light compare to 50mm f/1.8.

Do you have any photos you can post so I can get an example? Just out of curiosity.
