Camera rental in the Glacier NP area? - 06-25-2010, 12:44 PM

I know it's a long shot that someone can answer my quesiton considering this is a Texas based board, but I figured I'd ask anyways. :)

Does anyone know of a camera shop in the Glacier National Park area that rents camera bodies?

Thanks!

VERY, VERY unlikely, I would search for camera shops in the Helena or Boise Idaho markets and see if they offer this service but unlikely since the need to keep a body like the ones that would be in demand, higher end, rented almost 80% of the time to make it economically feasible and the market is so small that you most likely won't find them available there. Why not just rent from one of the larger camera shops on line that offer rentals and do it that way- maybe find out if they will ship direct to your hotel in Montana?

I figured that the odds of finding something up there were very unlikely, but thought I would ask just in case.

Thanks.

I use LensRentals.com when I need a lens. Their service is great. Just took a 100-400 L to Alaska for two weeks. Nice.

There used to be a shop in Kalispell I can find out if they're still there if you want. Forget Helena and Boise, Helena didn't have a good camera store and Boise is too far. I would look in Missoula or Great Fallas with Spokane Wa. my third choice. I agree to Lensrental.com I've used them many times and always had a great experence.
What part of the park are you going to be shooting in? i grew up there and might be able to help you with a few ideas.

I've got a trip planned to teton and Yellowstone in sept.

Thanks for the tip on lensrental.com.

Dave, if you don't mind looking, I'd love to get the name of that store in Kalispell. At this point, I'm not sure where all I want to shoot. If we go, we are looking at being in the area for about 6-7 days. I'm open to any suggestions. We were there back in 2002 and wouldn't you know, my Nikon 6006 broke the first day we were there. Talk about upsetting!

Thanks!
