Tripods drive me crazy. It is difficult at times to make much sense of the ratings.

Anyway, I have decided to get a Benro Travel Angel for an upcoming trip. I have been eying them for some time since they for up at least 5" shorter than my current setup, and weigh at least 2 lbs less, even in AL form. My issue is deciding between the A069, A-169 and A-269 setups.

My heaviest gear right now would be my gripped A900 with my new-to-me 300/4 G. I am thinking the 069 may be too light weight. The 169 and 269 have different heads and are within .6" folded, with the 269 having the supported weight advantage of 8.9lbs more. My other issue is availability with the 269 seemingly sold out everywhere.

Anyone have any experience with these?

After some input I think I may have to put the C-169 and C-269 on the list of possibilities.

I'm using C-2691 (I believe it's the same as C-269 except one the leg can be removed and use as mono pod) with B1 head and love it.

You'll not be disappointed with Benro.

Good luck.
