According to Nikon Rumors the D90 replacement should be out soon under the name D7000. It will be a great camera for sure. I was holding out for it when I bought the D80 to go with my D3000. The main reason is that I really want the D300s or more likely, in a year or so the replacement to it. So instead of spending $1,200 on the D90 replacement I got the D80 to get me by until then. I figure, why spend over a grand on something that is not going to make me truly happy. That being said, the D90 is a great camera and the replacement will be even better. If that's all the camera you will need and you can afford it, deffinately get the D90 replacement!

I do want a D300, maybe in my dreams a D3x but yea... So I went to Precision Camrea and got a D80 and a Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD IF Lens. Saved me $200+ from just getting a D90 body. I want to thank everyone for the help. I do plan on getting the Tamron 70-200mm F2.8.. Everthing you guys said i took to heart.

You're very welcome and thanks for the update! Now take the $200 you saved, sell your 18-55 and 55-200 and you should have around $450. For another hundred or so you should be able to get the Tamron 70-200mm and you will be set :)

One thing you might want to consider is now that you have a camera that can drive a D series lens see if you can find a deal on an 80-200 2.8D Nikon lens. It is an awesome lens and I have seen them used from $650-$1000. There are two versions, a single ring which has a tendency to creep if held vertical (who does that with an 80-200?) which is cheaper, and a slightly more expensive two ring. Although it has no OS/IS the optical and build qualities are astounding!
