I was big into photography in college; however, since then life has gotten in the way. I'm looking to do some professional photography, but I'm way out of date with the equipment! Anyone have suggestions on a good camera for portrait photography? Thanks! |

It is advisable to get your skills up to speed before worrying about making it a profession and making money at it. Making money as a portrait photographer isn't just buying a nice camera and you are set. My choice would probably be a Canon 5D mark II and a 85mm 1.2L II lens. Then add some studio lights and speed lights. Don't forget the wireless triggers.
