Sigma DP series? - 11-08-2010, 09:32 AM

Has anyone used any of the Sigma DP series (DP1, DP1s, DP2, DP2s)? I would like a nice small camera and have been interested in the Foveon technology and think this would be a nice little addition. Also, it does basic video which would be nice since I currently don't have any devices that take even web quality videos (not looking for HD or anything, just would be fun when my animals are doing something silly or whatever).

I've heard it's a quirky line, but the image quality is supposed to be great. So any first-hand experience out there?

Hey everyone,
1st time post here....

Anyways, I picked up a new DP2 about a week ago for $450...I love it to death but IMHO, you've got to stay in it's "zone" for best results...When I say "zone" this is what I mean:

-Shoot in RAW only
-ISO 50-100
-Post Process only with Sigma Photo Pro software
-Do not attempt to shoot fast moving objects

When in the above zone, Foveon rocks! Here are some shots of mine below if you're interested....(I'm by no means an "expert")....

Hope this helps!
