Printer inks - 11-18-2010, 10:39 AM

I have a Epson Pro 3800 and I am about to have to buy my first set of inks. 60 bucks each for the OEM ink times 9 OUCH! I knew this going in but now that its time to start buying cartridges I am wondering about after market inks. Ink Technologies has replacements at a third of the cost but I dont know if buying inks other than the OEM inks are a risk to the printer.

Anyone have a source for after market ink or have used Ink Technologies?

I have been using this company recently with good results. I don't use an Epson so I can't comment on their replacements. They have the OEM for $50.

Thanks Jim, they are at least a full 10 bucks cheaper than the Epson site on the OEM cartridges.

I guess that K3 archieval ink contains gold or something...
