D700 and remote rf shutter release - 11-18-2010, 07:41 PM

I set up my D700 with a rf shutter release and had another receiver on an alien bees 400. When I triggered the set up the camera shot behind the flash, completely missed it (1/200s and 1/160s). The same setup on a canon worked perfectly. I then put a different transmitter on the hot shoe and set the flash receiver to that frequency and triggered the camera again remotely and it worked fine. Does anyone have any experience with this? The rf units were YongNuo RF units.
