Lens Question...what can I dump - 01-26-2011, 08:13 PM

I have the following lens, but think I have some that more than likely are taking up space but do not have the knowledge to know which to keep and which ones that might go to give some other options maybe that I'm not got covered.

35mm 1:1.8
85mm 1:3.5
18-55 1:3.5-5.6
18-105 1:3.5-5.6
18-200 1:3.5-5.6
55-200 1:3.5-5.6

Id lose the following:

18-55 1:3.5-5.6
18-105 1:3.5-5.6
55-200 1:3.5-5.6

Their just a little redundant

Agree.
Your 18-200 covers everything those other three do and its not like the aperture range is any better on any one or the other.

The 18-200 made by Nikon is supposed to be a pretty high-grade lens. Those other lenses are all entry-level.

Dump those three, keep your primes, and your all set.

Dump anything that has a maximum aperture over 4.

The two primes and 18-200 would be my picks, and I don't know your shooting style or what your subjects are either.

I dont agree with that, while it would be nice to have all 2.8 or higher glass, its not always an option. Were not all professionals here.

Keep the primes, keep the 18-200 as your walk-around lens, sell the others and get you something nice. Or buy groceries.

Dump which ever ones you don't use and wouldn't miss.
Only you can decide that, not us.

You dont have to be a pro to want high quality images.

HA! LOL
Want is not a problem I seem to have.

Funding my $$$ hobbies is another question entirely

Thanks for all the help.. I mainly been using my camera for product photos for my site and goofing off here and there, I knida bounce around with all of them but started thinking and wanted to confirm pretty much all of them did about the same.

Idea was to maybe sale them and get the 70-200 2.8
