I really want to get my hands on that Fuji. If that was announced before I bought the NEX it would be tough.

It's been talked about for about a year now. Sorry. 09-20-2010 according to the RFF.

The viewfinder info. looks nice. Could be a bit cluttered. I suppose you can turn some/all of it off? Focus distance and DOF in the viewfinder is awesome! Histogram is nice too. Chimp before you shoot.

Waiting, cash in hand. I figure the worst that can happen is that I won't like it. I'm willing to risk a few bucks in case I have to sell it on. It's a specialty camera so it should hold value pretty well until the next generation comes out.

OK, Ken. Put me #1 on the list to buy it if you hate it.

Here you go. I can already picture the ebay speak listings "...in the original rare collectors presentation box." And it's actually made in Japan. Who knew that made in Japan would be rare one day?

Remote release in the shutter button...as God intended.

Digital...not as God intended.

what?!?! I can actually use an old shutter release?! I don't have to go buy a new one at $100? What kind of design is this.

Zeb, nothing wrong with digital.

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but they just announced the price on this thing.

$1,199.95 American freekin' Greenbacks.

Fujifilm confirms Finepix X100 ship date, price and accessory line for US market -- Engadget

Im not surprised though. And I know people will pay it.
