IMO if it is too good to be true, then it is..... I would not trust that site...

But there is their bbb info

Doesn't seem too good to be true per say, just a really good deal on a less than stellar lens. This older version has been falling in price ever since Sigma released the (much better performing) HSM copy.

Two things to make sure you are aware of if you decide to buy the lens:

1. As Andrew notes, it is an old discontinued model.

2. It is being sold as a refurbished lens, "Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG Aspherical Lens for Canon - Refurbished"

Kelly....if your looking for a good cheaper 2.8 try finding the sigma 24-60mm.... I have had two copies one for Nikon which I sold here and one for my sd14...& both have been stellar....

I hear alot of mixed reviews on the tamron 28-75, especially on the FF camera. I was about to pick up one when I got my 5d last weekend, but it wound up the my camera came in and the lens went out b4 I got there.

it does have some vignetting on the wide end with FF cameras. Not very sharp on the edges either, but it's really not that bad.

I may have added some vignetting to this...

Thanks Jeremy, now I'm hungry for some good onion rings.

Kelly, I have the Tamron 28-75 and love it on my Nikon D90. Haven't had the chance to use on FF myself but can't wait to some day. Very sharp lens.
