Good camera bag for a Big camera? - 03-03-2011, 10:26 AM

So I stupidly gave away my big camera bag to a good friend of mine, and now I have this big Nikon D1.

What's an affordable bag that I could use to tote this sucker around downtown? My budget is like, $0.

Well not really, but my wife has an iron hold on my camera expenses as of late.

Just for the record... I found it absolutely Hilarious. Zachary, we all poke fun at each others equipment all the time. Its part of being a photographer.

We just bought Tenba messenger bags and I flippin love it! Can't fit the kitchen sink, but its a nice, affordable 'around town' bag.

ETA: we poke fun at each others CAMERA equipment. Dont get any funny ideas Jeff Green.....

It's lacking on padding, but don't throw your bag against the wall and you'll be fine. I have a couple other expensive bags, but I use this one a lot more, simply because it's convenient, comfortable, and discreet.

If you can find an old LowePro Nova 5 jump on it. The newer Nova 5 AW may be the same bag inside. Not sure as I've never seen one. I can carry R2D2, 3 lenses (17-35, 28-80, & 70-200), meter, filters, etc. AND a medium format camera and lens. Really good substantial padding. I like it.
