Shutter count on Nikon D200?

Take a JPG directly from the d200 and use a free exif viewer to get the shutter count. There's a free plug-in for the Firefox browser.

take a jpg pic and open it with the FREE opanda iexif

Exif viewer : Opanda IExif - Professional EXIF / GPS / IPTC Viewer & Editor in Windows, IE & Firefox

I tried it. Didn't work. Gave me a TON of info - but no shutter count.

There are two opanda screens.
One is the Power Exif... this does not show the actuations.
The other is Opanda IEXIF 2. Scroll down to bottom.
Says, Total Number of Shutter Releases for Camera...

or, check this site for windows 7.
These are all free... if you choose the right download.

It may not read as "shutter count", there may be a data field that has the word 'actuations' in it. Remember it needs to be a jpg straight from the camera and not a RAW image converted in a 3rd party software.

XnView also reads ALL the Exif from any Nikon file, nef or jpg.

Got it, thanks! The download gave me Exif and, unknowingly, IExif. (only the Exif shortcut showed on the desktop). I went into Programs and there was IExif.
