I've been looking at getting this tripod for use as my main tripod, since I won't have much capitol to buy more than one for a while. It looks light enough, and one of the legs comes off to become a monopod once the head is attached. Does anyone have this tripod, and if so, what do you think about it?

I have the older version and LOVE it. I added some comments to Abel's TRCB069 review.

If I remember off the top of my head, my TRCB269 folds a little smaller then the new A2691TB1. I paid $410 or so for mine, and it was well worth every penny when I have to fly and was fantastic in the field in New Hampshire, even with an A900 + 24-70/2.8 or 70-200G.

I had no idea that the TRCB269 was the older version. I would have sprung for the Carbon Fiber version (C2691TB1), but as I said, the funds are not there.

I was going to go with the Al version too, but this was already my 4th tripod so I figured I would try to make it my last. The Al version should still serve you well. I was mostly after the very compact folded size. That has been VERY handy.
