Don't worry about, I'll take your word for it. You're a scientist and have test and stuff . I just have my eyes and I'm more of a print guy then a pixle peeper. From my prints(and wedding albums), the 5d2 looks much(much) better then the 20d prints, but I'm sure that's all in my head.
EDIT: This reply reads a lot more douchey then I meant it to. Sorry about that.

lol - I didn't hear you sounding douchey at all. *I'm* the one who probably sounds like that - don't mean to antagonize anyone, just want to clarify things.
Funny thing is, I'm not a pixel peeper either. I only looked into all of this a while ago when my gf was using my XS and her pics were coming out WAY more detailed than similar images I was taking with my 5d2.
I looked VERY quickly, but found this, which gives some decent info that you might find interesting - DSLR SENSOR SIZE AND PIXEL DENSITY
I'm sure in the case of my prints there are a lot of other variables. Like dynamic range, noise, DOF, etc. But either way, they look more clear and sharp to me.
But this kind of reminds me of when Luminous Landscape did a side-by-side with a P&S and Hasselblad with Phase One back.
Kidding
I have Canon AND Nikon equipment in my bag right now. A 35mm stays on the Nikon, and the 70-200 stays on the 40D. There's a few more lenses in the bag, but that is what I usually stick with.
Only reason I have that Nikon is because I won it. :P
With the 35mm, it does produce some nice images.
I enjoy my 7D with the mediocre 24-70L and that's all that matter to me![]()
I had to use the D70 and 20D together some times. I always thought the 20D was the biggest piece of junk in comparison, as was the kit lens that was attached to it. Hated that camera. Never got a sharp photo out of it that I can remember. The D70 walked all over it.
I'm waiting for both of those camera's to open up into their robot forms and start duking it out.
I'm considering a popcorn co-op, any takers?
