Hi guys! my uncle and his friends asked me to buy for them some batteries for canon 40d, 50d! and they also said that they don't need batteries from canon because of the costs of them! So, please provide me some good batteries that you guys have had experience with!
Thanks so much!

Digipower seems to be one to stay away from, btw. I've had spotty success with theirs; some have been fine, others toast way too soon.

Lenmar has been good for me.

I use a Sharpie and write the date when I get a new one so I can get an idea of how long it has lasted. I number each battery and use them in sequence so I know each is seeing approximately the same usage.

Every aftermarket brand I've seen is higher mAh than the canon OEM battery.

That's what I use on my 7D and have had no problems. If you search on this site there is a $5 off code

The Canon charger works well with these.

I use the Maximal Power LP-E6 battery with no problems. It's 2000mah, a bit more than the Canon 1800mah original (not that I can tell a difference).
