Well crap. I just bought the 50mm f/1.8, though this list is missing the 10-22mm I've been wanting. There's some nice zooms on there.

guess you'll just have to buy a 70-200mm L IS f.28 instead.

Sometimes I really hate you...maybe while I'm at it, I'll pick up a 1D MkIII.

Grad school, that's why. Not everyone can blissfully study graphic design ;)

Can you even imagine how heavy that piece of glass would be? An f.28 lens? Not to mention being able to see in the dark. We know you meant 2.8 Snarfy.

I have the 10-22, and it's a very nice lens. I also have the 50 f/1.4 I would love to get a hold of the 70-200 IS f/2.4, not to mention a couple of others on the list. Sheesh.

Hahaha, I completely missed that typo, good call there Killjoy. A .23 f-stop... that'd be a 200mm filter mount, and that bad boy would easily weigh in at 20lbs, haha. Miniature Hubble!

By the way, I think you meant 70-200IS f/2.8 =)

Jerome,
There is no such thing as a lame lens. We all do what we can with what we have. No matter what we end up with, we always want something better.
If your lens takes the photos you want it to, and you are happy with the quality, then enjoy the savings, and spend it on even more gear. :w00t:
If you haven't noticed yet, it's a very vicious cycle.

Alan
