Settings for your camera - 05-28-2008, 07:47 PM

We all have some custon functions as well as other settings for our cameras.
Sometimes we have issues with little oddities. Sometimes our photos may appear as if our cameras are front focusing for instance.

Sports Illustrated has some basic settings for a few DSLR's. These are by no means any "Gospel" of how you should set your camera.

But take a look and see if a) your camera is listed, and b) if you might want to try out the SI settings and see if it makes any difference.

I adjusted my camera to their settings, and when I get a chance this week, nay, when I MAKE an opportunity, I will go and check it out.

If nothing else, it's a learning experience. Right?:w00t:

That's actually the basis for the settings of my camera.

I love it. I've recently switched to using the back button for auto focus. What a difference in control! Just takes a bit to get in the habit of using it instead of the shutter release.

It all just depends on where you choose to spend your money.
If the camera that you have, does the job that you want, why change?

Perhaps you're just a little smarter than the rest of us? :w00t:

Hmm. Good point Mike. But, seeing as they have the 20D on it, and the 20D wasn't even released until Aug of '04, and they have the EOS 1D Mk II as well, and that was announced in Sept of '04,
I don't think that the comment "page contents last modified 11/10/2002 12:49:44 PM" can be held true.

(boy, if that wasn't a run on sentence......)
