While the 10-22 isn't technically a fish eye, it does give a funky perspective when open up to the wide end.

Dumb amateur photog question? - 07-13-2009, 06:17 PM

I have a Nikon D70 with the 18 - 70 mm lens... I want a long lens in the worst way!!! After three years of "how's it feel to want" I finally have some dough. I'm looking at the "AF-S VR Zoom-NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED" at about twenty two hundred bucks from Crutchfield.

Any comments would be appreciated... :

JP

Thanks... Don't know if VR will work, but that's a deal breaker... if not I need to look at something else. I really want f2.8 though...

One way to tell for sure, is to rent one.

Then again, I'm sure if you call the folks at Borrow Lenses they could tell you.

Or if Snarfy would ever rear his head in here again, HE could tell you.

There is a small disclaimer about the VR not working with older cameras at BH and they do list some that will. I suppose you could just google the D70/70-200 and find out for sure.
