Are both of your cards the same brand, I have had the problem the most when setting up two different brands of cards. If there is an ATI in the box, it wants to take over everything.

Dell recently had a sale on their 2001 20.1 LCD monitor for $487. I think its over but they have been doing it for the past month. It will come back.

thanks for answering thos post guys and confirming some things for me. I have a 22" NEC and got a good deal on a 17" flat panel but didn't like the way it made pics look so that is on the upstairs PC and I'm back with the 22.
