Silly me and my exposure question. - 05-14-2009, 08:12 PM

I just checked over my Contaflex and it seems to have a good shutter (no goop). It comes with a 45mm 2.8 and I was wondering if I can use either a Canon A1 or the 40D to get an exposure reading which is close enough for something to judge the cameras ability. Would I have to expose for the 45mm and whatever aperture I choose, which sounds logical to me. Or do I do the best guess using charts.
It is in really good condition for a 55 year old camera.9/10

Kevin, I would think the A1 or the 40D would make a good light meter. Don't forget to set the ISO to whatever film you might be using.

Thanks Roger, that was what I was thinking. So it does not matter too much which lens I use on the meter camera?
The image quality is supposed to be good. I do like Zeiss and not bad for $10 with the case and meter.
