looking for advice from anyone that does on-site printing at events, such as races.
Do you use a portable generator, with a spike suppressor ?
or a boat load of batteries for the laptop and only the printer on the generator,
from what I've read so far it's pretty risky, at least for a computer, but some do.

The only one I know of who does track side printing is Got Blue Milk.

I don't know they guy personally, but I used to work with a few racers who did know the guy.
They didn't know what the guy ran as far as photo gear, but they knew they could get prints the day of the races.
