I'm getting my wife a new camera for her birthday, and she told me she wants one that has a long zoom. She's not worried about pocketability, because she has more than once referenced these "mega zooms."
I was leaning towards the Canon G12, but she wants something with more reach. The Nikon P7000 caught her eye, but again the zoom while longer than the G12, still not long enough. Plus I've heard some not so good things.
Anyway, the Panasonic
and
seem to do everything she wants, plus shoots in RAW and has some nice looking features. Just not sure about IQ. Any opinions?
