The more I think and read about this, the more I think it will be a good partnership. Hoya bought Pentax for their medical products, not cameras. They built up the brand a bit (made it profitable for a change), then sold it off. I'd rather be bought by Ricoh (which also makes cameras) than by an investment group like Hassleblad was.
