Will an old Nikon 50 f/2 K Series lens mount to newer nikon SLR bodies?
I'm not worried about it being manual focus at all... just whether or not it will mount.

Just read this on wikipedia....
The F-mount has a significant degree of both backward and forward compatibility. Many current autofocus F-mount lenses can be used on the original Nikon F, and the earliest manual-focus F-mount lenses of the 1960s and early 1970s can, with some modification, still be used to their fullest on all professional-class Nikon cameras. Incompatibilities do exist, however, and adventurous F-mount users should consult product documentation in order to avoid problems. For example, many electronic camera bodies cannot meter without a CPU enabled lens, the aperture of G designated lenses cannot be controlled without an electronic camera body, and non-AI lenses (manufactured prior to 1977) can cause mechanical damage to later model bodies unless they are modified to meet the AI specification. Abel - this is a pretty informative site about Nikon lenses and when they were made and their mounts, if you have the serial number and check for the range it's in. Nikon Lens Serial Nos

Nikon K-type lenses are all pre-AI (made from around 1974-1977). Do not mount it on your D300 unless the aperture ring has been converted to AI.
Someone had posted that on DPR

Sorry, mine is from the 60s or 70s, so it will predate what you need.

I have a few adaptall lenses that would work for both systems I can give you the cannon adapter...you would need to get the Nikon one for about 15.00...if you want a zoom or regular I will make you some really good deals on them...
Let me know...
