Smile Neoprene to pad / protect equipment in bag? - 08-17-2011, 12:10 PM

I managed to get my Pelican PCS-2552 RSV camera bag rearranged to hold my Nikon D90 with the 10-24mm lens, the Nikon new D7000 with the 28-300mm lens, the Nikon SB-600 Flash, the Joby Gorillapod SLR-Zoom Tripod, and still have space for the new Nikon 35mm f/1.8 DX lens, and also the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 7" (WiFi) that I bought to use as a GPS on Holiday in the UK Lake District next month.

The Gorillapod is on top of the Flash, so I'm wondering where I'd find some thin Neoprene to place between them for padding / protection? (Something like an old, thin Mouse Pad for the roller-type mice ... or a piece of someone's wetsuit. ) I asked at the local Hancock Fabrics, and they didn't have any Neoprene.

Thanks,
David Baldock

Thanks for the replies.

It's interesting that you mentioned the Op/Tech products and lens wraps, because I ordered one of the Op/Tech 11" Soft Wraps from Amazon this morning. It should protect my flash, without being too bulky.

Take Care,

Thought I'd pop back in and mention that the Op/Tech Soft Wrap that I ordered has arrived, and it works just fine for protecting my flash, even though it's thin and not bulky at all.

I have some Domke's and another brand I can't recall.

They work just fine.

I take all the dividers out of my bags a wrap everything.

No problems yet.
