On this trip, we'll mainly be touring the Lake District. So I can imagine taking photos of things that are at a distance, across the lakes, or possibly up or down a mountainside from where we happen to be. A long telephoto is also handy for shots of wildlife.

I haven't done a hi-rez scan of the negatives from my 2001 trip, but the scans that were provided by S P S Photo Imaging of McKinney, TX, when they processed my film, are uploaded to the UK Trip - 2001 set on my Flickr account.

Take Care,
David Baldock

Well, I got the bag loaded, and weighed it.

Inside "Top Pocket", showing Op/Tech Dual Harness, Lexar USB 3.0 Card Reader, Netbook Cable Lock, and Lee 105mm CPL. Not shown - Spare Batteries, Spare Memory Cards for D90, ML-L3 Wireless Shutter Release, and Business Cards.

Inside "Bottom Pocket", showing Arc Mouse, Backup 1TB 2.5" H/D, ASUS 1215B-PU17 Netbook w/Power Supply, USB Cables. All of these items, along with the Card Reader and Cable Lock from the other pocket, will be taken out of the bag and left in the Cottage while we're out touring each day.

Inside "Main Section", showing Gorillapod with SB-600 Flash below, 35mm Lens with 52-to-77mm Filter adapter, Samsung 7" WiFi Tablet that is our GPS with Lowepro Filter Pouch containing Lee Filter Holder and Hitech Filters below, D7000 with 28-300mm, and D90 with 10-24mm. You can also see the way that the PCS-2552 allows access through the top when it's hanging on your shoulder.

Outside view.

As it's loaded right now, it weighs 25 lbs., and about 5 lbs worth of "electronics" and the Cable Lock will be left in the Cottage, leaving ~20 lbs of camera equipment to carry out to the car each day. When I'm walking around taking pictures, I'll have the 2 cameras on the Op/Tech Dual Harness, the Lowepro Filter Pouch on my belt, and possibly the Manfrotto Mono-Pod.
