I'm a really big fan of Digital Rev TV. Every time a parent sends me a chain mail, I reply with one of these videos :)

I love the dichotomy of the LX5 next to the GF3. I have recently jumped in headfirst to m4/3 with a Panasonic G2, and on the mirrorless forum I'm on (mu-43), I've argued to no end how Panasonic's newest EVIL cameras have removed too many features to be considered by anyone that wants to do serious photography with them at least once in a while. The GF3 lacks a hotshoe for either a flash or viewfinder, plus loses many of the controls of the GF2 in favor of touchscreen only (with the G2 or GF2, you can either use the on-body controls or the touchscreen. I think this was ingenius to have redundancy of controls, and Panasonic's human factors engineers should be given huge bonuses for making a camera so usable). I took the G2 out shooting last weekend, and I couldn't imagine not having a viewfinder or being able to control basic functions through a touchscreen (like you do on a D40 or D3100). I understand that Panasonic is still trying to figure out their market, but they've basically made the GF3 appealing to people that want to upgrade from a point-and-shoot, but not to people that want to downgrade from an SLR. Oh well, by the time I'm ready to upgrade, I'll probably just buy the GH2 when it starts getting clearanced in a few years.

I bought an Olympus PEN E-P3 when the first became available. So far, I like the camera and the kit lens does a good job. I like the retro look of the camera and so far its been fun playing around with it. I can't say much for the built in flash. I guess its like most of the built in flash systems, it good for fill flash. I'm going to pickup a FL-36R in the future. I added a Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 which is a really nice lens. I found a Leica style lens hood for it, so it kind of adds to the retro look.

I've been reading all I can find on the new Panasonic 45-175mm f/4-5.6 lens and will add it later. Right now, the camera with both lens, battery & charger probably weigh less that my 7D body alone.

I've had the E-P1 ever since it first came out, and I've enjoyed it as a companion to my Pentax K20 and now K5. I compared the E-P1 to the Canon G9 and to me the Pen was just better all around. I do wish it had a built in flash on occasion but still, the low light performance is just much better than you'd get with any small sensor camera. Control-wise, I have pretty much the same controls and configure-ability as my dSLR which makes sense since Olympus used their E-620 dSLR interface as the basis for this camera.
