Came across this while looking at a video about lenses being stolen off cameras by thiefs in crowds. Evidently it is easier to steal a lens off a camera someone is carrying rather than the camera and in most cases the lens is more expensive than the camera. Lens thieves ruin the day | Pixiq

While I am amazed at what thieves can do, I have a hard time buying this. Seems to me that it is more likely the producers of the show are getting a little creative. I can't speak for Canon mounts, but with every Nikon camera I have owned, you have to hold the camera with one hand while turning the lens. It is a VERY snug fit. I just don't see this happening.
That being said, I can see thieves cutting your strap and taking off with the camera. My Sun Sniper strap has a cable in it to help prevent this. | | | |

Haha. The 'using a polarizer indoors', I've seen a few people doing that because 'the guy at the store' said it was better to have it on all the time.

Didn't think of that - that would be a good use of it indoors. Most of the time though, all it's doing is robbing you of 1-2 stops when you need them most.

One of my pet peeves isn't on the list:
"I'm a natural light photographer. It looks more alive than studio shots."
Really? Or is it that you haven't the foggiest clue how to use light to make photographs? If you don't understand how to make studio light look good, then you don't understand how to make any light look good... all you get is lucky shots during certain times of day.

I'm pretty sure @ lscottpht knows what she's doing with natural light, and she has amazing photos. I doubt she gets lucky that often.

And looking at her work, her knowledge of natural light is amazing. And it's awesome that she admits her flaws.
I do think it's possible to be a natural light photographer without being a bad photographer.

| No doubt this is true. I know quite a few pro's that shoot with and without flash. The key word in all of this is light and knowing how to use it. Note that she said OFF camera. Off camera flash takes a little time to set up so I suspect that a high energy shooter like Leslie wouldn't be able to make use of off camera flash efficiently. It wouldn't suit her business model.
Not that I rank myself as an kind of photo genius but I have spent years behind the camera. When I shot film I hated using a flash. So much so that I never put it on the camera. Mostly because I didn't know what I was doing and the results sucked. But I didn't run around telling everyone that I only shoot in "natural light" (that beer sucks by the way). When I got into digital I bowed up and decided that flash was just another tool and I was going to learn how to use it come hell or high water. Neither have come and I'm still learning but I use flash anytime I want to and I do ok. I do ok because of people like Fran Reisner, Laura, Shelby, Doug Box, Tim Babin (home boy does some cool stuff with an on camera flash and an off camera slave hand held), and many other professional (and even amateur photographers that post in this forum). In the end, I think they would all tell you it's about mastering the light, natural or otherwise.
