As for pink cameras and Kutcher - I think SueGirl cleary understands what may not have been so obvious to some.
And as for the disaster in Thailand, I'm very surprised you didn't add Nikon's factory in Sendai which was also heavily damaged by the tsunami. Seems if you're going to hit low, might was well go all the way down.
Finally, forgive me if I missed this part but what is it about the newly released errrr, announced 1DMKX that makes it any better than the Nikon D3S? Seems like a lot of catching up to me...

Pardon my error, you're right. These cameras were *announced* recently, not released.
I understand the niche marketing and product placement that Nikon has meticulously used for sales enrichment. I'm a designer, this was not lost on me. Even as a Nikon shooter, I'm giving Canon credit for innovation.
My statement was intended to be humorously satirical, with a dash of irony. It was not intended to spark a Canon vs Nikon debate, nor be taken as an attack on any company. I delight in the announcement of products from all camera companies, as they all move the industry forward.
And, once again, pardon my colloquial blunder, as I misused "release" in place of "announce."
