The XA2 uses zone focusing (scale focusing) rather than a true rangefinder mechanism. This is why it was cheaper than the XA.
If it has a rangefinder mechanism, it's a rangefinder.
Mirrorless cameras are not rangefinders because you are looking through the lens and there is no rangefinder mechanism. |
