Removing shutter - 11-16-2011, 02:54 PM

I have a lens that i use for macro in the reverse mode of the lens itself.I keep the lens aperture wide open and the focus to infinity. This lens is of no use to me for anything but macro shootin,it doesn't even fit my camera. What I would like to do is remove the shutter assembly completely and use the reversed lens a diopter with good optics. Is this possble or would removing the shutter screw up the lens itself?

That is the aperture assembly. The shutter assembly is inside your camera. Removing the aperture blades doesn't help you in any way; it doesn't open the lens up any wider.
