So there have been a couple of mentions with the d7000 in regards to back/front focusing. Check it to ensure there are no focus issues. Otherwise congrats!

I think those issues were supposedly fixed with the firmware upgrade.
Right now they have A1.02 and B1.03 available (or something like that) as I just updated mine last week.

Congrats, great camera and I just did the same thing about a month ago. Keeping my D90 as a backup body or if I need quick change over lens. I think you'll love it.

Congrats on the new camera.

I had memory card write issues on my D7000 that were resolved with the latest firmware A1.02 and B1.03 upgrade. My Sandisk 16 GB class 10 Extreme HD Video cards work fine now.

So glad to hear that because I have two of the same cards like you.

If write speed is important, you might want to consider upgrading to the SanDisk SDHC UHS-1 45mb/s or the new 95m/bs a second. Once the prices of the 16gb of the UHS-1 95mb/s come down, I'll be buying two.
