What kind of super clamps do you use for on location shooting? - 12-09-2011, 06:04 AM

1. What kind of super clumps do you use for on location shooting? I was looking into the Manfrotto one. Any other alternative?

2. Also, which compact light stand do you use? I want something which last longer and small in size.

Thanks!

It's cheaper to make your own clamps. But the low end Manfrotto ball heads and bolt them to the handle of the clamps you buy at Lowes or Home depot. You can also do the same with Gorilla pods (no bolts necessary).

I have a couple Justin clamps for speed lights and love them.

I have about a dozen stands and use different ones for different things. Manfrotto nano for travel with speedlights.
