I've been using a Canon Speedlite 430 EX flash with the wireless Transmitter ST-E2 on a Canon 40D body and getting inconsistent results. Sometimes the flash won't fire and every once in a while the flash will completely overexpose the picture by 3+ stops.
In the past I've used the same ST-E2 transmitter paired with an old Speedlite 550EX and a 1D mark 3 body and gotten very reliable and satisfactory exposures. This leads me to think that the problem lies with the 430EX.
Anyone else have unreliable results when pairing a 430EX and an ST-E2 or is it just me?
I'm considering upgrading to the 430EX II model. Anyone have experience using the ST-E2 with the 430EX II model? |
