Yes, excellent and fast. I do believe they collected the sales tax at time of sale rather you having to pay it later.

Do you see any downside to dealing with the mfg directly? I certainly don't. Unless you have some super shop that warranties everything for you. Of course, every shop I have dealt with sent my cameras to the mfg for repair and charged me for that "service" on top of what I paid the mfg.

I've had mine for about a year now. If the body number was correct it had 35 shot taken with. It was mint. If you find any issues call them and they will send you another one.

I ended up purchasing a refurbished 7d from Adorama for $1149 total! I'm okay with that ;). Can't wait until it comes in!
