Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VRI Repair - 12-22-2011, 02:47 PM

I'm looking for a Nikon authorized repair station in the Houston, TX area to have my Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR checked and possibily repair without having to pawn my first-born.

I'm not getting the sharpness I believe should be inherent in this lens.

Any suggestions.

Have you tried Professional Camera Repair off of Richmond, between 610 and Weslayan? I dont believe theyre an Authorized Nikon Repair Center, I believe the closest one would be in San Antonio, last I checked.

I don't know what your experience is so please do not be offended with what I humbly propose.
Mine works better if the vr is turned off when there are good lighting conditions and also
I found out if the bf button is used that pressing the shutter half way to activate vr before focusing helps. I'm assuming you've adjusted the camera to this lens.

After I posted this, I learned about Professional Camera Repair ... thanks. Also, I picked up some pointers from Houston Camera Exchange about some things I can do before taking the lens in to see if the problem is the lens or me.

Thanks for the responses.
