I've been one of the beta testers and it does seem to work as advertised. However, I would like to see how it compares to some of the other methods of adjustment. I has been eye opening to see how inconsistent some lens are at autofocus.

Bought it yesterday. Tested it today for a little while using a 7D & a 50mm f1.4. Seems to work pretty well, spent more time setting up the target than anything else. The interesting part of the test is the analysis of data. Being able to instantly review each of the shots made at the various settings was insightfull.

To do the same thing manually would have taken much longer. Figure that when I have more time, I'll setup the camera/target and start checking out the rest of my lenses.

Should I test my 70-200 at several focal lengths to get the best average?

I think I would check it at the end that you are most likely to use it at...

meaning if you usually shoot it full zoom to 200, then weight it for that

So you connect your camera to the computer, focus on a target they provide, and it goes through all the steps and micro adjustments, is that correct?

So the only thing needed is the program to have your camera and lens in its sytem?

Nice, but I doubt I will ever see it for my A900.

As long as the camera can recognize the lens it doesn't matter which one you use. Unlike cameras, the program isn't lens specific.

I bought FoCal Pro tonight. It was very easy to use since I opted to go with the 'Fully Automatic AF Microadjust' setting. Be sure to read the PDFs thoroughly.

On the 5d2 my 70-200L II had to be adjust +2 and the Sigma 20mm was adjusted -4.
